Join AMFA
The Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) both represents members in the collective bargaining process as well as advocates on behalf of the craft. In the transportation industry, each class or craft that is represented for collective bargaining must go through a certification process administered by the National Mediation Board (NMB). By organizing authorization card collection campaigns, AMFA supporters are actively seeking for a representation election so that AMFA can be recognized as their collective bargaining agent. AMFA has no paid organizers and primarily utilizes grassroots campaigns started by volunteer organizers from within the group desiring to be represented by AMFA. AMFA has won certification elections for aircraft maintenance technicians and related classifications at multiple airlines and currently represents them in contract negotiations, grievances, and other cooperative programs. Associate Membership is also available to aircraft maintenance technicians and related personnel not employed by an AMFA represented carrier who is actively involved in the aviation industry as defined by the National Mediation Board. To learn more about Active Associate and Associate Membership or if you would like to become a member of AMFA, please view the Associate Membership Application. More information about the rights and responsibilities of being an AMFA member can be found in the AMFA Constitution. Click here for an authorization card. |
